CGSA Announces the Location for the 2020 Fall Field Day

Mississauga ON – The Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA) announced today that the 2020 Fall Field Day National Championship will visit Beacon Hall Golf Club in Aurora, Ontario on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.  Our host superintendent for the event is Paul Scenna, Master Superintendent.

Beacon Hall Golf Club is an 18-hole private golf club located just north of Toronto in the village of Aurora.  Beacon Hall was designed by Bob Cupp.  It opened in 1988 and has kept the membership capped at 260.  The course has been ranked in the top 10 by the Score Golf Top 100 Golf Courses in Canada and has been since it’s eligibility in 1990.

The club has traditionally been closed for outside play.  As part of its 10th Anniversary in 1998, Beacon Hall hosted The Canadian Open President’s Invitational and the Ontario Men’s Amateur Championship.  The Copa de las Americas was hosted there in 2007.  Based on this you’ll want to make sure that you register to reserve your spot in the 2020 Fall Field Day.

“CGSA is truly privileged to be able to play this outstanding private course.  I’m looking forward to the events taking place as part of the Fall Field Day, not just the opportunity to golf with my colleagues at this top-notch facility, but to network and learn during the educational seminar.  The Fall Field Day is a highlight on my calendar each year and going to Beacon Hall will be truly special,” said Greg Austin, CGSA President.

CGSA is working on an additional day of golf in the area and will make that announcement as soon as details are available.  There will also be an educational session that is incorporated into the overall events.  Please visit our website or follow our Twitter account for details as they come available.
