The Ontario Turfgrass Research Foundation, in 2007, commissioned an
economic study of the Ontario turfgrass industry (the last
study was done in 1982). The study provides a detailed assessment
of the economic size and impact of the Ontario turfgrass industry. Some
results of the study show that the Ontario Golf Industry, alone,
generated $1.25 billion dollars in gross revenue (2007) and spent $375
million on operation and equipment expenses.
