British Columbia Cosmetic Pesticide Use Consultation

The Province of British Columbia is currently conducting a consultation exercise to determine if it should adopt legislation prohibiting the use of pesticides for cosmetic purposes on both private and public lands. Although there is no indication that golf will be included in the prohibition, it is important for you to indicate your support for the submission that golf’s use of Health Canada approved pesticide products is not cosmetic.

The consultation process is open until February 15, 2010 and we need your help to ensure that golf will not be prevented from using these products. Please contact your MLA and the government consultation coordinator to let them know all of the reasons why golf benefits the environment, the economy and the charitable components of your province.
